Сценарий пьесы.
Scene 1.
Серафим, пастух, Иосиф, Мария.
Пастух, сидя под деревом играет на дудочке. Является Серафим
(Слайд «Серафим»)
The Seraph (Полканов Илья): While shepherds watched their flocks by night,
All seated on the ground
The Angel of the Lord came down,
And glory shone around.
Серафим улетает.
(Слайд «Пастух»)
The Shepherd (Родюков А.): How to sweet is the shepherd’s sweet lot
From the morn to the evening he strays
He shall follow his sheep all the day,
And his tongue shall be filled with praise.
По дороге мимо идут Иосиф с Марией.
The Shepherd: -Who are you, good man?
Joseph (Смирнов П.): -I’m Joseph, a son of Israel.
The Shepherd: -Are you of Israel?
Joseph: -Yeah.
The Shepherd: -And who is that woman? Is she your wife?
Joseph: -It’s Mary that was nurtured up in the temple of the Lord;
And I received her to wife by lot; and she has conception be the Holy Ghost.
The Shepherd: -Is this the truth?
Joseph: -Come hither and see! But now let us come into your cave/ the child is going to be born.
The Shepherd: -Come in!
Все входят в пещеру Пастуха.
(Слайд «Звездочка»)
Scene 2.
Иосиф и Повитуха.
Иосиф ищет повивальную бабку.
Joseph: -Where can I find a midwife? Maria is going to bear.
Shall I ask that woman?
Подходит к повитухе, идущей по дороге.
-Where can I find a midwife? Tell me, please!
The Midwife (Авдеева Ю.) -Why? and who are you?
Joseph: -I am Joseph, a son of Israel. And Maria is going to bear!
The Midwife: -Are you of Israel?
Joseph: -Yeah.
The Midwife: -And who is that woman named Maria? Is she not your wife?
Joseph: -It is Mary that was nurtured up in the temple of the Lord;
and she is not my wife, but she has conception by the Holy Ghost; and she is going to bear now!
The Midwife: -Is this the truth?
Joseph: -Come hither and see!
Входят в пещеру пастуха.
Scene 3.
Серафим, ангелы.
(Слайд «Ночь рождения Иисуса 2»)
The Seraph (Полканов И.): -Three Kings came riding from far away,
Melchior and Gaspar and Balthasar;
Three Wise Men out of the East were they,
And they traveled by night and they slept by day
For their guide was a beautiful, wonderful star.
The star was so beautiful, large and clear,
That all the other stars of the sky
Became a white mist in the atmosphere,
And by this they knew that the coming was near
Of the Prince foretold in the prophesy.
So they rode away; and the star stood still
The only one in the grey of morn.
Yes, it stopped, it stood still of it’s own free will,
Right over Bethlehem on the hill,
The city of David, where Christ was born.
Серафим улетает. Ангелы возвещают.

The first Nowell the angel did say,
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay;
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep,
On a cold winter’s night that was so deep

Angel 2 (Аксенов И.)
They looked up and saw a star
Shining in the east, beyond them far,
And to the earth it gave great light,
And so it continued both day and night.

Angel 3 (Яшкин Д.)
In the bleak mid-winter… Frosty winds;
Earth is hard as iron;
Water like a stone;
Snow is falling, snow on snow, snow on snow.

Scene 4.
Волхвы идут по дороге, встречают женщину, затем старца.
(Женщины – Симановская, Красова)
Woman (Симановская А.): -Who are you? And where are you from?
Balthasar (Астафьев М.): -We are three Kings of Orient.
We are to tell the Jesus Christ who will be born
in Bethlehem tonight.
And we are bringing him our gifts: gold,
frankincense and myrrh. Go and tell everyone of
Jesus Christ!
Женщины убегают.
(Слайд «Пещера Иисуса»)
Scene 5.
Ночь. У пещеры пастуха сидят волхвы, старец, пастух и Иосиф. Хор ангелов исполняет песню «Silent Night».
«Дивная ночь»
Ангелы:
Тихая ночь, дивная ночь
Дремлет все, лишь не спит
В благоговенье святая чета,
Чудным младенцем полны их сердца,
Радость в душе их горит
Радость в душе их горит.

Глас с небес возвестил:
Радуйтесь, ныне родился Христос,
Мир и спасение всем он принес,
Свыше вас Свет посетил

Из пещеры выходят повитуха, за ней - Мария с Младенцем на руках.
The Midwife:
-My soul is magnified, for salvation has been born into Israel.
Balthasar (Астафьев М.):
-Oh, Maria, mother of Lord! Let us all sing praises to our heavenly Lord and offer, in his presence, gold, and myrrh, and frankincense.
Melchior (Бацунов А.):
-I’m Melchior. Here is gold.
Gaspar (Воронцов В.):
-Frankincense to offer have I.
Balthasar (Астафьев М.):
-My gift is myrrh.
Maria (Жуковская Д.)
-Thank you, Wise Men of Orient, thank you for your rich gifts, for you praising of my Beloved son.
All:
Glorious now behold him arise,
King and God and sacrifice,
Earth to the heavens replies.
(Слайд «Волхвы 2», «Волхвы 3»).
Звон колоколов. Занавес.
Пьеса сопровождается музыкой.
