"ПРАЗДНОВАНИЕ РОЖДЕСТВА В США"
Цели проведения:

1. 
   Учебная:
   

Познакомить учащихся с традициями США на примере празднования праздника Рождества 25 декабря.

2. 
   Воспитательная:
   

Заинтересовать учащихся в изучении иностранного языка, как средства для знакомства с традициями США.

3. 
   Развивающая:
   

Активизировать у учащихся творческие способности при подготовке и проведении праздника. Развивать речь учащихся. Показать учащимся их новые возможности в сфере овладения иностранным языком.

Задачи:

1. 
   Расширение знаний учащихся о традициях, существующих в США.
   
2. 
   Активизация лексики по теме "Рождество" в речи учащихся.
   

Оборудование урока: магнитофон, украшенная елка, венок из еловых веток, на доске красочно оформленные кроссворды, декорация с сюжетами Рождения Христа, празднования Рождества, традиции рождественской кухни США, праздничный стол со сладостями и рождественским печеньем, испеченным по английскому рецепту, празднично украшенный кабинет, исполнение песен под аккордеон.
Учитель: Good morning, dear friends! We are glad to see you here! Today we are going to tell you about a Wonderful winter holiday. It is an American Christmas.
Учитель: Сегодня мы познакомимся с обычаями проведения праздника Рождества в США. Вы увидите, как умеют чтить семейные, народные, культурные и государственные традиции на Западе. Услышите, как праздники помогают людям быть достойными гражданами.
P(upil) 1: Рождество… Волшебный праздник рождения, появления на свет любимого человека является великим чудом, а уж Рождество Христа – великий, святой день на все времена. Это было 2006 лет тому назад, но каждый год весь мир ждет чуда Рождества, вспоминает старый заброшенный сарай, Вифлеемскую звезду, волхвов и их дары… Каждый год зажигаются свечи, источают дивные запахи празднично накрытые столы. Таинственно манят с любовью приготовленные подарки. Слово “Christmas” происходить от слов “Christ’s Mass” – празднование рождения Иисуса Христа.
P 2: The Americans celebrate Christmas on the 25^th of December. As you know, Christmas is a religious holiday. It is the day on which Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It is a happy holiday. Families come together to share their happiness, attend church, and exchange gifts.
P 3: You are quite right. The Christmas story comes from the Bible. It tells us an interesting story of shepherds who were watching their sheep when an angel appeared to them. He told them that a Saviour had been born in Bethlehem. The shepherds went there to see Jesus. The baby Jesus was born in a stable.

His mother was the Virgin Mary and his father was Joseph.

The Bible tells us how the Wise Men (the Magi) followed a star until it led them to Jesus.

P 4: The first Noel the angel did say

Was to certain poor shepherds in the fields as they lay.

In fields where they lay keeping their sheep

On a cold winter s night that was so deep.

They looked up and say a star

Shining in the East, beyond them far,

And so the Earth in gave great light,

And so it continued both day and night.

P 5: The Wise Men gave Jesus many gifts. Because of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Christians celebrate Christmas.
P 6: Об этом памятном дне была написана замечательная песня «Тихая ночь», которая прозвучала в первый раз в 1818 году в маленькой церкви – Николауса в деревне Оберндорф. Тирольская певческая группа выучила эту песню и с концертом объездила многие страны и побывала и в Америке. Сейчас эту песню поют на 44-х языка мира.

Дети поют песню на двух языках английском и русском.

P 7: Although Christmas is a Christian celebration, it is true to say that it is an unusual combination of pagan and Christian festivities. Christmas is on the 25^th of December. Christmas Eve is on the 24^th of December. It the USA people have many interesting Christmas traditions.
P 8: Cities and towns in the United States sparkle with bright lights and decorations. Churches, homes, schools, shops and streets are decorated with Christmas trees, coloured lights, Santa Claus and his reindeer. Store windows display gifts. The traditional colours for this holiday are red and green.
P 9: On Christmas Eve, the President of the United States turns on the near the White House and sends his greetings to the nation.
P 10: Families prepare for this holiday weeks before. Christmas cards are sent to friends and relatives. They make and buy gifts. They wrap gifts with bright paper and ribbons.
P 11: “How Much I Love You.

I’ve done many things for Christmas:

I’ve tied each present with bow,

But there’s one other thing

I wanted to tell you,

How much I love you

But I think, you know.
P 12: “I Tie My Love with Ribbons”.

In the glow of Christmas candles,

And the stars that shine above,

I bring you season’s greetings

With my ribboned gift of love.
In the joyous sound of voices

Singing carols in the snow

I take your hand and tell you

Of my love that seems to grow.

With Christmas years behind us

And Christmas years ahead

I tie my love with ribbons

In the shade of Christmas red.

P 13: The Americans choose a tree and decorate it with ornaments and lights. Have a look at our Christmas tree! It’s wonderful, isn’t it? You can see a lot of toys on it. The lights are different: red, blue, yellow, green. On the top of the Christmas tree you can see an angel. I like the tree. And you?

P14: People sing and hear many songs at Christmas. The songs are different: old traditional Songs in English, German, Spanish, French and other languages; religious songs and modern American songs. They create the special atmosphere of the holiday.
P15: Christmas carols are sung on the radio and in public places during this season. Some of the most famous carols are: “The First Noel”, “Joy to the World”, and “Silent Night”.
P16: Now we are going to sing the song “Jingle, Bells”. John Pierpont wrote it in 1857. It is one of the first Christmas songs that American children learn.

P17: The American children hang up stockings near the fire-place to receive gifts from Santa Claus.
P18: “Santa Claus Is Coming”.

We can’t wait till he’s here.
P19: On Christmas Eve, there are evening church services which everyone attends. On Christmas Day, there are other religious ceremonies at churches which families attend before they make their rounds to visit friends and relatives.

Going home for Christmas is a most cherished tradition of the holiday season. No matter where you may be the rest of the year, being at ”home” with your family and friends for Christmas is “a must”.

P20: On Christmas day people eat roast turkey or ham, potatoes and pie. Adults drink eggnog, a drink made of cream, milk, beaten eggs and brandy.

P21: Christmas is also a very important time to make resolutions-you promise your friends, parents, teachers to become better, to get only good marks at school, to go shopping and tidy your room. Have you written your resolutions? Het’s put them into this box. In a year we’ll check whether you beep your promise.
Учитель: Дети стараются выполнить данные обещания. То есть они чувствуют ответственность перед родителями, братьями, сестрами, а если человек держит данное слово в семье, он и будет законопослушным ответственным.

А теперь давайте проверим хорош ли вы запомнили слова по теме «Рождество». Английской группе предлагается игра “Find the words”, то есть нужно отыскать слово по теме «Рождество».

Задача каждой команды быстро справиться с заданием.
Учитель: It’s time to send Christmas cards to your friends.

Ребята поздравляют друг друга Рождественскими открытками, сделанными своими руками с английским текстом.

Ребята поют песню “We wish you a Merry Christmas”.
Учитель: Вот подходит к концу наш урок. Вы узнали, как встречают рождество в США. Я надеюсь, что вы также будете чтить традиции и обычаи русских праздников, уметь давать и выполнять обещания и от души дарить подарки близким людям. Сегодня вы хорошо потрудились: прекрасно декламировали стихи, с душой пели песни. Спасибо вам за работу! Пора попробовать печенье, которое мы испекли по английскому рецепту. Merry Christmas! Thank you, children for the fun. Merry Christmas.

Учитель угощает печеньем, испеченным по английскому рецепту.
